Fragmental 3D - Build Lines with Falling Blocks! App Reviews

great game

one of the best games ive played

It is more than a game ...

Our brain needs permanent new challenges ... this is right place to get it.

Very nice, but…

…the animation looks a bit choppy. (?) maybe like 10 to 18Hz? The iPhone support up to 60Hz (i think) and the graphics doesnt need much GPU-Power. So why the animation issnt smoother? … anyway … thanks for the nice game! ;-)

Tetris meets 3D

Awesome game. I love the classic tetris but this will b right up there for classic games. I dont normally write reviews so thats gotta tell ya something. Good job creators

Incredibly beautiful and engaging

This game is gorgeous to watch and addictive to play. Excellently created, it is challenging, but once you figure out how to move the pieces around (it took me a little while), it is awesome. Be patient and watch the online tutorials... It is worth it!

Fantastic

This game is like Tetris on steroids! With three different game modes this game never gets old. $1.99 is a steal for this game. My favorite game I have on my touch.

A cool new twist to the many Blockout clones!

Its a nicely presented 3D Tetris where it is still about clearing lines, not entire planes, with, just like all of the other Tetris like games, clearing multiple lines at once being worth much more than clearing that same number of lines individually.

Very bad!!

Very very Bad...

Challenging and fun!

Fragmental 3D is like Tetris in three dimensions. It takes a bit to learn the controls, but becomes a very addicting game once you do. There are tons of gameplay combinations to keep things interesting, and OpenFeint leaderboards and achievements to keep track of all your records!

3D, Space Aged Tetris - Wonderful App!

Basically 3-D Tetris - and its very fun and addicting! Excellent Game, challenges your ability to manipulate 3d objects by rotating and positioning them to break rows...Its like space aged Tetris - much more challenging and rewarding than standard Tetris.

Use your mind

This is like Tetris 3-D. Really fun!! Challenges the mind.

Great game

Challenging and makes you really think ahead.

Help

I downloaded the update and now i cant play. It closes when I tap new game!!!

Good

Nice twist on a classic formula with some fun game modes. The controls work well once you get used to them. The slow, plodding pace can drag at first but in the end it helps cut down on frustration.

Suavebo

I thought it was going to be boring, however turned out to be much more than I anticipated. I play at least once a day.

Well done!

I love this app. I get lost in the game and the spatial relationships. If you enjoy manipulating objects in space then youll probably like this game. Just what I was looking for.

wont open

Loved the game... but with the latest update the app dies when "play" is selected. On iPad iOS 3.2.2. Reboot, reload, nothing. Cant contact dev from iPad... an iOS site that requires flash? REALLY silly. --------- Also, play on iPhone is almost brilliant, but spoiled by the nature of the controls. When spun, the side controls often bounce from side to side... hard to hit on higher, faster levels. "Drop" button doesnt always fire unless a very careful long stroke is made. Spin is sometimes maddening... theres a two finger strike that stops it, but its almost impossible to hit reliably... Options for some of this would be very welcome. All in all, cmon... this is so close to being the best game on earth... why not go there????

Fragmental 3D Tetris

Love the game!! All 3 modes r challenging in their own right, especially the reject mode. Talk about spatial relations!! Would suggest a touch button instead of slide 4 the quick drop, as it doesnt always respond quickly enough in play. A little longer warning that u r running out of time would also be helpful. Controls r great. Didnt take long to get the hang of them at all. Love the game, and no problems on iPhone 3S. Thx 4 a great Tetris game. Now if someone could design a Maelstrom game, that would be "awesomer" still!!

Best Tetris clone since Blockout

This is truly a great game, the best Tetris clone since the early days when the original well-oriented Tetris game, Blockout was released. This game is cut from that mold, different game modes, different shape tiles make this a pleasure to play. It doesnt get too fast too quickly so its a joy to play as you get higher in the levels. The dual touch controls to change the direction and the angle of the pieces take some getting used to but I got it pretty quickly. You should get this game for your collection, its well worth it.

fun but room for improvement

This is how my brain has always wanted to play Tetris! I love the rejects pieces! So much more interesting that way. You need to fix the bug that leaves leftover blocks in mid-air if their piece clears a line other than their own! Sometimes they fall one level but leave empty space still under them?! Please auto-zoom wide enough the controls are never off-screen no matter what the cameras orientation and placement (rather than blipping them around to adjust to the screens composition), and please never move the camera if a touch starts on the control-mode switch button (and maybe anywhere but the background, matterfact). Please always perform the control command even if that means automatically moving the piece out of a corner. Please make the lighting so not all faces at the same orientation are the _exact_ same color, forcing the player to waste time rotating the camera to ascertain the shape when new pieces are presented at troublesome angles given the cameras relative placement. Please allow moves which overlap volume in space so long as their resultant position does not: playability is severely hampered by inability to execute possible placements disallowed by the rules of movement, to say nothing of executing the maneuvers themselves even for currently allowed moves with the controls in time—perhaps consider a setting manually advancing time so players can focus on stretching their puzzle muscles maximally. These two together would greatly enhance playability because it would allow placements at any layer, not disqualified simply on grounds of execution. It would actually make it a richer, more challenging game. Alternatively, make this a mode or setting. I suggest a game mode where individual cubes of shapes are different colors and groups of a color are what clear. This should also incorporate multiple orientations to clear clusters as reckoned in all 3 dimensions for multi-layer configurations. Please consider a setting for translucency with the option for a dynamic HUD slider, maybe also giving exposed faces greater opacity or lightened colors or some other visual distinction. Id like a HUD switch to make all but a given layer extra translucent, with controls for changing to which its applied. _Please_ invest in anti-aliasing and/or an HD/Retina version! The jaggies are abrading my corneas. Id like to choose the size of grid and column height. Some of the backgrounds are distracting/cluttered, but at least theyre soothing and kind of pretty. I would prefer something simpler, like a macro shot of some leaves or something, more a texture...go zen/li(nature patterns). Very fun, Ive wanted Tetrisphere with more layers that clears both laterally and in depth concurrently ever since playing it on N64 in 1997, and though this is a column, its a next-best. P.S. Using my 4th gen iPod Touch I cannot access your Flash-only site!
